How the Quote Applies to Kon Tiki
In this story, Kon Tiki, the quote at hand applies to the story in a number of ways. First of all, the men strove to build this boat and attempt to recreate the conditions in which the Perusians attempted to sail in. The men were in search of an adventure and were seeking to sail the same ways it was done a long time before, experiencing the full effect of what others had to go through. Throughout the story, the men have struggled to find not only their destination, but the will-power inside of themselves to get them there. Throughout the journey, the men did not once give up hope and always kept faith in the thought that they were going to make it to their destination, and accomplish their greatest feat yet.
