Compound-Complex Sentences

1. Because Mitchell forgot his soccer shorts at home, he had to go back and get them,wasting valuable practice time.

2. Leanne dreamed of getting a five on her AP Language exam, but woke up soon thereafter and realized that none of what had happened was in fact real.

3. When Paul received his driver's license, the DMV forgot to stamp on it that he wasa minor, thereby allowing him to drive off-base legally.

4. Sandy left her house early in the morning, which allowed her to beat the morningrush of vehicles off in the same direction she was.

5. Writing compound-complex sentences often involves a great deal of thinking, so it is often very time consuming for some people that don't like to think very hard.
